Jen Frost is the Managing Director of Marketing with One North Interactive in Chicago. A long way from visions of being a teacher and trying to get her brother to sit through “lessons”, Jen has always loved sharing her knowledge and collaborating with others – something she finds rewarding.
Creative and flexible, she enjoys the changing nature of her work; she’s learned to be flexible. Like many, Jen honed her marketing chops across multiple industries within Fortune 1000 as well as start-up businesses in the technology software and services fields. She figured out early on that the big, corporate environment wasn’t for her and that her sweet spot was marketing to C-Level B2B buyers. Along her 19-year journey with One North she has excelled in M&A, change management, executive and internal communications.
Like so many, she’s had to learn balance – something she finds by spending time with her son and her music. She, a champion of women through Women Employee Resource Groups and a proud member of CHIEF, also helps others find their balance. She is a mom, loves photography, travel, and finding great new restaurants. She is also an avid song writer, and who knows, we may see her at the Grammys for song writing one day.
Through it all, she has relied on advice from her dad - be inclusive, think outside the box, and don’t take it personally. And her best piece of advice – everyone should have a negative thought stopper; a mantra that you say to yourself and it bolsters you to help navigate tough and negative situations– hers is “Strong, and getting stronger”. "We have to be able to build ourselves up" - if we can't do that, how can we help others.
